Choose moments instead of milestones
A first conversation, a favorite meal, a difficult week you got through, and a place you want to visit are useful prompts. You do not need a special song for every moment. A track can reflect the mood, provided your note explains the connection.
Let the order carry the story
Start close to the beginning, place your strongest shared memory in the middle, and end with a forward-looking choice. Reorder tracks with the up and down controls before burning. Listen to the previews first: an available 30-second excerpt may not contain the lyric or section you had in mind.
Pair the CD with a small message
Try “These are four moments I would choose again.” Keep the note in your own words and avoid copying song lyrics. The link contains the title, note, signature and track IDs, so send it personally if the details are private. A QR code can accompany a handwritten card without exposing the note on the card itself.

Questions before you start
Can I include an exact lyric excerpt?
You can write your own note, but the tool cannot choose where Apple’s preview starts. Avoid relying on a particular lyric appearing in the excerpt.
Can I edit a CD after sending it?
The existing link keeps its original encoded content. Make your changes in the creator and generate a new link, then send that updated link.
