Mixtape Note Ideas: What to Write with a Music Gift
A good mixtape note tells the recipient why these songs came from you. One concrete sentence can do that better than a long explanation of every track.

Start with a detail only you would choose
Use this pattern: “This is for [small moment], especially track [number].” Fill it with a real memory, such as a late train or a kitchen dance. These are writing prompts, not messages to copy unchanged. The details are what make the note yours.
Match the pressure to the relationship
For a friend: “Three discoveries for your next walk.” For a birthday: “A few moments I hope we repeat this year.” For distance: “Something for the quiet part of your evening.” Let the recipient enjoy the gift without being asked to prove how they feel.
Keep private details intentional
The creator allows a short note of up to 300 characters. Leave addresses, contact details or sensitive information out. The complete CD link encodes the note rather than encrypting it; anyone with the link can read it. Read the finished note once before copying the link, and use your own words rather than reproducing song lyrics.

Questions before you start
Do I have to write a note?
No. The title, note and signature are optional. A thoughtful song order can carry the message on its own.
Is my note hidden from other people?
It is not listed publicly by the app, but it is encoded in the share link. Anyone who receives or is forwarded that link can read it.
