A small music gift
Long-Distance Mixtape: Share a Small Listening Ritual
When you live in different places, a small repeatable ritual can be easier to keep than a grand surprise. A mixtape gives you a few minutes of listening to share without needing to be online at the same time.

Choose three chapters
Start with “where we have been”: music attached to a place or a day together. Follow with “where I am now”: a song from your ordinary week. Finish with “where we are going”: something you would play at your next meeting. Two tracks per chapter keeps the mix focused.
Design for different time zones
Send the link with a simple invitation, such as “Listen when your day slows down.” Agree on a time only if you both want a shared session. BurnCD does not synchronize playback, and sending a link does not notify the recipient through the site. You control the message and the timing.
Keep the next exchange light
Try a monthly theme: a rainy commute, a song discovered this week, or music for your next trip. Save a draft on your own device while deciding. Invite a reply CD instead of asking for a rating or proof of listening. There are no read receipts, and private player pages are excluded from analytics.

Questions before you start
Can we listen together in sync?
There is no synchronized room. Open the same link and coordinate playback yourselves, or listen separately.
Will the link keep working forever?
The content is encoded in the link, but playback still depends on this site and Apple’s preview availability. Keep the complete link; do not treat it as a permanent music archive.
